Sally Fairfax finds out about the life of film star Dorothy Mackaill.
She was born in the Sculcoates area of Hull in 1903 and attended Thoresby primary school, where a blue plaque is dedicated to her.
She starred in many silent and early 'talkie' Hollywood films, a number of which have been since lost.
