Restoring Brontë sisters birthplace - The One Show
The house where authors and sisters Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë were born is to be restored ahead of Bradford UK city of culture 2025.
The terraced house in Thornton, Bradford, has been bought by a community group. The aim is to bring it back into public use as a place where the young people of Bradford can find inspiration and learn to 'Be More Brontë '.
Christa Ackroyd and Steve Stanworth of Brontë Birthplace Limited take us on a tour, including the parlour where three girls were born in front of its fireplace.
The One Show will be following the team as they restore the Bronte’ birthplace.
