How Hull saved children from the Spanish civil war
The town of Guernica was fire bombed at the start of the Spanish civil war. Families rushed to evacuate their children. Hundreds made the passage to England and a handful ended up in a house in Hull's Pearson Park.
A blue plaque commemorates their story and the efforts of the people of Hull to aid them.
Sally Fairfax reports.
