The prosecution and defence teams start making their closing speeches. Constance Marten and her partner Mark Gordon are charged with causing the death of their newborn child.

After weeks of evidence and cross examination at the Old Bailey the jury start to hear closing speeches from the prosecution and Constance Marten and Mark Gordon's defence teams.

This is their final opportunity to address the court and the jurors and try and persuade them to decide in their favour.

The couple are charged with causing the death of their newborn child, Victoria, after her body was found in a shed on an allotment near Brighton in March 2023.

Both Constance Marten and Mark Gordon deny the charges against them.
