Kelvin Kiptum was a marathon world record holder, and was set to compete in this year’s London Marathon, but died in a road traffic accident in February aged only 24 along with his coach in his native Kenya.

He broke Eliud Kipchoge's world record last year in Chicago, where he crossed the line in 2:00:35, bettering his compatriot by 34 seconds, and was looking to win in London again for the second year in a row.

London Marathon event director Hugh Brasher, spoke to Sport Today’s Ed Harry about the legacy of Kiptum and his impact in London and how they are going to pay tribute to the runner.
