Why Danny Trejo's on a Mexican food mission in London
Danny Trejo is best known for playing inmates, gangsters, or criminals in films like Desperado, Heat (both in 1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), and Con Air (1997).
But he also loves food, especially the cuisine of his Mexican heritage. On his last visit to London with the Ray Liotta, he was puzzled to discover the capital had good Guatemalan and Salvadorian offerings, but none from his beloved Mexico. He says: "We had such a tough time finding good Mexican food in London!"
Now - he's hoping to change all that with 'Trejo's Tacos' on Portobello Road. He's been speaking to 大象传媒 Radio London's Robert Elms all about it.
