India’s ‘digital’ economy: Paying for more goods ‘just one tap away’?
´óÏó´«Ã½ Newshour's James Coomarasamy has been in India as the world’s biggest exercise in democracy gets underway. He has been looking at the Indian PM Modi's decade in power, examining key pledges, including his promise of a ‘digital India.’
Travelling to the southern city of Bengaluru, dubbed the ‘Silicon Valley’ of the East, James examined how digital payments have transformed the economy and whether rural communities are being left behind by the tech boom.
