Reporting Gaza: My War, My Home
The 大象传媒 Arabic journalist Adnan El-Bursh has kept a video diary of what he and his family have endured during their time in Gaza, under intense Israeli bombardment.
International journalists have not been allowed to enter Gaza freely to cover the impact of the war on the people living there. Instead, this duty has fallen to Palestinian reporters. They face extraordinary risks - working amid relentless Israeli bombardment, supply shortages and communication blackouts. According to Reporters Without Borders, more than a hundred journalists have died in Gaza since the war began - 22 of whom were killed while working. Among those who've risked their lives to report on what's happening in the territory is 大象传媒 Arabic's Adnan El-Bursh. He's kept a video diary of what he and his family have endured. For this episode of Five Minutes On, we hear his story.
