Is this muddy streak London's best natural escape?

Surrounded by buildings and fast roads, Brent Reservoir - otherwise known as the Welsh Harp - is one of London's most important wildlife habitats. It's open water and associated habitats support an unusually large selection of wetland birds and plants for an inner city reservoir.

Over the last few months, the Canal & River trust have been working to overhaul the infrastructure of the reservoir, which included the mammoth task of draining a billion litres of water, and re-homing 100,000 fish before water levels got too low.

With works nearing completion the reservoir is now being refilled. 大象传媒 Radio London's Robert Elms has been finding out more.
