Swanage resident collects cards for D-Day veterans
The 6th of June will see the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, the largest seaborne invasion in history, and the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe.
Six weeks prior to D-Day, troops were rehearsing the amphibious operation on Studland beach.
Swanage resident, and founder of The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society, Dinah Johnson launched a plan to thank two local D-Day veterans, Clifford Brown and Peter Lovett.
Dinah Johnson spoke to Radio Solent's Steve Harris.
