Today we鈥檙e in Burkina Faso where there's been a serious crackdown on foreign media.
There have been several reports alleging that the army massacred hundreds of civilians in northern villages in February 2024 and the government's not happy about it. They鈥檝e taken some pretty strict measures on outlets like The Guardian, Le Monde and Deutsche Welle.
The government, led by Ibrahim Traor茅, say these reports are just attempts to smear the military's reputation.
