Leicester's Spark Arts Festival is 21 years old
Music, theatre and activity-based workshops are set to take over this week, as the Spark Arts Festival returns for its 21st year.
The festival has put children at the forefront of theatre and arts in Leicester since 2003. And this year, there's 7 days of fun, more than 30 performances, and much of it is free to enjoy.
Kicking off this year's festival will be a takeover of two of Leicester鈥檚 biggest cultural venues, which will see De Montfort University and Leicester Museum and Art Gallery transformed into hubs of creativity, joy, and excitement with lots of free activities for all the family.
Chris Gorry, the Artistic Director at Spark Arts told Letitia George why it's important for children to have access to theatre and live music.
