Shabana Azmi is one of the greatest actresses to come out of India. She made her name in art-house films, before moving into the mainstream, and also working on international projects.

Shabana is celebrating 50 years in the industry this year, and as part of that has visited Leicester for the 'UK Asian Film Festival' which is showing one of her early films, 'Shyam Benegal鈥檚 鈥楳andi.'

Shabana sat down for a chat with Shruti Chauhan.
