Chris Shaw, the talented bookbinder from The Repair Shop, shares an amazing story of a project featured on 15/05/24. It features a woman called Claire who brings in a cherished family heirloom... her grandmother Jean’s notebook from World War II. Chris tell us about the huge task he had to reinvigorate the notebook, which has been battered and torn over the years. He also explains how to preserve our own precious notebooks, by lying them down flat rather than upright, so gravity doesn't pull the text down.
