What is Labour's solution to Council funding woes?
Leicester and Leicestershire's council finances have been in the public eye in recent weeks, after the clearest indication yet of the financial struggles that local authorities in our region are facing.
It comes as Leicester City Council announced that it's looking to save around half a million pounds a year in running costs by cutting children centres. The Labour run council has said it faces effective bankruptcy in less than a year's time.
Meanwhile the Conservative run Leicestershire County Council has been one of the lowest funded county councils in England for years. It has put forward proposals to change local government funding to make it fairer.
The Shadow Chancellor, Labour's Rachel Reeves, told Ady Dayman about their plans to tackle these issues.
