Not so pretty in pink - Hull's painted pigeon
A pigeon has been taken to an animal sanctuary after being found in Hull with it feathers dyed pink. The bird is thought to have been painted so that it could be part of a gender-reveal party - where expectant parents announce whether their imminent child will be a boy or a girl. But that might not be the case, as some people have been in touch to say the birds are dyed like that to deter birds of prey striking them
