Warning over rising levels of Whooping Cough
A Leicester doctor is warning a failure to vaccinate children against Whooping Cough could lead to vulnerable people of all ages having their heath put at risk from the disease.
The UK Health Security Agency has issued another warning over rising levels of the illness which causes a severe cough.
So far this year this year there have been 197 suspected cases across Leicestershire, with 77 of them recorded in the city and county in the last two weeks alone.
Although the figures are low compared to other parts of the country, Leicester Royal Infirmary consultant paediatrician Dr Damian Roland told Ady Dayman full vaccination is critical.
