Around 5 weeks ago, we began to hear about asylum seekers being taken from Hull to detention centres, destined ultimately for Rwanda, if they had entered the UK by what the Home Office calls illegal routes after January 2022.聽Since the announcement of the general election, we鈥檙e beginning to hear that some of those same people are being released. One solicitor says he knows of more than 60 from around the country who have been released and that all of those detained under the scheme will have a good claim for false imprisonment.
