Oxford inspires Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones, the hugely successful TV series based on George RR Martin's iconic series of books, is known for its fantastical settings and characters.
But are the creations a little closer to reality - and closer to Oxford - than we might have thought?
A historian has claimed that the 'real-life Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen' was from England.
Not only that --- but apparently, she spent time living in what we know today as Oxford Castle and Prison.
