The Metheringham Lass: Myth or mystery?
It's said she died in a wartime motorcycle crash.
It's said that drivers on a road near the former RAF Metheringham have been flagged down by a woman asking them to help her boyfriend whose motorcycle has crashed - only for her to vanish, leaving behind the smell of rotting flesh.
The story goes on to claim that she was a nurse and her boyfriend served at the wartime air station, but it was she who died in the crash.
But is any of it true?
