Cats killed in Malvern 'suspected poisonings'
A police investigation is taking place over a spate of cat deaths in the Worcestershire town, after the animals were found poisoned.
At least four cats have died in and around a small set of streets in Malvern, in recent weeks - in each case the cats became ill very quickly, and were taken to the vets, where they had to be put down due to organ failure.
West Mercia Police are now investigating, amid widespread concern that someone may be deliberately poisoning cats with anti-freeze - following a similar spate of cat poisonings in the area five years ago.
Hedgehogs have also been found dead in the street.
Tom Edwards reports from Ramsons Close in Malvern.
West Mercia Police have given us a statement, saying they've received a report that "a number of cats have died in the area, following suspected poisonings".
The statement adds: "Our enquiries are ongoing - anyone with any information should contact pickersleighandchase.snt@westmercia.police.uk"
