All this week, you'll be meeting the nominees in the Bravery category, which is for someone who's shown outstanding courage, defiance and duty in the face of perceived danger, fear or difficulty.

When Ravi Sharma was involved in a car accident in Leicester he rushed to the aid of one of the drivers. It was then he was struck by a car himself and badly injured.

Ravi was left with a brain injury leaving him unable to work or drive, affecting all aspects of his life. Jo Bostock has been to meet Ravi and his sister Poonam.
