'If you're feeling down, there's nowhere better'
The countdown is on for our Make a Difference awards in September – celebrating people in Leicestershire and Rutland who go above and beyond.
We’ve had hundreds of nominations - and every week until the big day you can hear some of the stories behind the finalists.
All this week, you'll be meeting the nominees in the Great Neighbour category, the people who helps to make their neighbourhood a better place to live or work, either on a regular basis or through a single act of kindness.
Geraldine Staples is a familiar face at her local library where she runs weekly craft sessions that offer fun and favourites. But she also gives her time to visit neighbours, delivering books from the library and any other essentials they might need.
Matt Smith got his knitting needles out and went to join the group.
