Family’s anger as Muriel McKay’s body not found

The police dig took place at a Hertfordshire farm where she was held after being kidnapped. Muriel McKay was mistaken for the wife of newspaper tycoon Rupert Murdoch in 1969 and held at the farm in Stocking Pelham, where it’s believed she was murdered. This latest search followed new information from convicted murderer Nizamodeen Hosein, who was deported to Trinidad after serving his sentence. Following more than a week of digging, the Metropolitan Police announced it had not found Mrs Mckay’s remains. Her son, Ian, and grandson, Mark Dyer, gave their reaction. Photo: Metropolitan Police.
