Even though the Paris 2024 surfing competition is being held almost 10,000 miles away from the French capital in Tahiti, the International Surfing Association President Fernando Aguerre says the 鈥淥lympic spirit is alive鈥�.

Aguerre tells Sportsworld鈥檚 Lee James about the legendary Teahupo鈥檕 wave in Tahiti and what can be expected from the Olympic competition which makes surfing 鈥渢he wildest sport鈥� and surfers become 鈥渁lmost like animals鈥�.
