Bedfordshire hitman murder: A detective remembers
Brian Prickett originally investigated Carol Morgan’s murder in Leighton Buzzard in 1981. Allen Morgan arranged for his wife, Carol Morgan, to be killed at their shop while he was at the cinema with his step-children. Retired Chief Superintendent Brian Prickett remembers how police always suspected Morgan, but were unable to prove their suspicions until a vital witness came forward 40 years later. It led to Morgan, now 74 and from Brighton, being convicted of conspiracy to murder. This report contains archive material from a ´óÏó´«Ã½ report at the time, and sentencing comments from Mr Justice Martin Spencer at Luton Crown Court.
