John White has been Chair of the Lee Residents Association since 2017. The Association looks after around 1600 members to make Lee-on-the-Solent a happier place to live. "John selflessly devotes his life to managing the committee, organising meetings with speakers, fundraising and supervising the publication of a fantastic colour magazine and its delivery to all the members."
Richard Baker, from Hursley in Hampshire, runs the Hursley Village Community Association, the newcomer's welcome lunch, the Hursley fireworks, village walks, planting the village orchard, summer BBQ, safari supper, and is a director of the Hursley community shop. "Richard's enthusiastic, friendly and approachable manner encourages everyone to join in and help. He makes everyone from all ages feel very welcome if they are new to the area."
Eddie Holtham, from Holbury in Hampshire, inspired a group of 20 volunteers to help him transform the woodland at Warren Copse, "to a place of tranquility and a haven for wildlife. Eddie has also served his community for many years as he was a Parish Councillor, a fireman and a football referee."
