From the North to the South the peaceful protesters reclaimed the streets.
Thousands of anti-racism protesters gathered in Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, London, Brighton.
There were some pockets of disorder but the widespread rioting and trouble that was expected - failed to materialise.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley described it as a "very successful night鈥�, saying the fears of extreme-right disorder were 鈥渁bated鈥�.
