'Disappointment' with 'all inclusive' play area
A Leicestershire family has criticised a new play area at a local park, saying it doesn't offer enough support for disabled children.
The 'all-inclusive' area at Brocks Hill Country Park opened last month, and includes a sensory zone with sign-language prompts.
But concerns have been raised over the site's accessibility.
Louisa and James are parents to an 8-year old daughter who is a wheelchair user. They've been telling 大象传媒 Leicester's Ady Dayman that the play area is at the top of a slope, and there aren't enough paths for wheelchairs.
Oadby and Wigston Borough Council told us: 'We are continually looking to improve Brocks Hill Country Park for all visitors and this feedback is very welcome. Accessibility is always at the forefront of our minds and the new play area has tactile and sensory elements to meet the needs of a wide range of children.'
