Kicking off our Woman's Hour's Listener Week 2024, Nuala McGovern was joined by listener Siobhan Daniels to tell us her story…

She retired aged 60, sold her flat and most of her possessions, and bought a motorhome! She now spends her retirement going on adventures across the UK and she’s written a book about her journey, Retirement Rebel.

Ahead of their conversation, Siobhan gave us a tour of ‘Dora the Explorer’, her trusty home-on-wheels, and spoke about how it helped her to find her voice and ‘inner warrior’.

She wants to share the message that you’re never too old for adventure, and to encourage other women to face their fears.
