Tracy Otto: A Paris proposal, pregnancy and a first Paralympics
A first Paralympics experience will be memorable for any athlete – but maybe even more so for US para-archer Tracy Otto after her "magical" few weeks in Paris.
Just getting to the Paralympics was a big achievement for Otto, who in 2019 was brutally attacked by an ex-partner leaving her paralysed from the chest down with limited use of her arms and hands and the loss of her left eye.
But if competing at her first Paralympics wasn’t special enough, Otto was proposed to by her now fiancé Ricky Riessle under the Eiffel Tower and, just a few hours later, announced she was pregnant.
Otto returns to Sportshour to tell Caroline Barker all about her Paris experience.
