The Hereford athlete broke two world records on the way to retaining his title in the men’s F13 javelin.
The 33-year-old had given up on sport after an injury ruled him out of qualifying for the London 2012 Olympics, but he’s since found the training and motivation to reach the distances he was hitting, twelve years on.
Robin Grey, Gavin Kermack and Tammy Gooding reflect on a huge Paralympics for Dan, and his wife Martina, who says they’ll be raising a pint or two of their own home brew, ‘Paris Gold’, made from hops grown on their Hereford allotment!
