Son of Zombie celebrates St Albans roots
Steve Rodford joined the band with his dad, Jim, when the classic sixties group re-formed. In 1961, Jim Rodford was asked by his cousin Rod Argent to form a band, but he was already in a different group and declined. The Zombies went on to have chart success, including with She’s Not There in 1964. Jim finally became part of the band, along with son Steve, when they re-formed in 2004. A celebration, organised by Phil Coates, is due to take place in their home city of St Albans.
