Make a Difference 2024: Great Neighbour Award Winner

Richard Baker, from Hursley in Hampshire, is the winner of the Great Neighbour Award in 大象传媒 Radio Solent's Make a Difference Awards for 2024.

The Make a Difference Awards are your chance to say thank you and recognise those who love to make life better for others.

Richard runs the Hursley Village Community Association, the newcomer's welcome lunch, the Hursley fireworks, village walks, planting the village orchard, summer BBQ, safari supper, and is a director of the Hursley community shop. "Richard's enthusiastic, friendly and approachable manner encourages everyone to join in and help. He makes everyone from all ages feel very welcome if they are new to the area."
