Murdered woman's family campaigns to help others
Megan Newborough was killed by Ross McCullam at his home in Leicestershire in 2021. The law states that because McCullum committed the crime inside the home, he received a lesser sentence than if he had killed her outside the home.
Her parents, Elaine and Anthony Newborough, began the Megan Newborough Foundation to raise money for charities that support women who suffer domestic violence.聽
Together they've been working with the campaign organisation 'Killed Women' to create plaques that are inscribed with women's names, their lifespan, and the sentence given to their killer.聽
大象传媒 CWR's Vic Minett spoke to Megan's parents about the campaign.
