The tales of Fulk FitzWarin strike a familiar note to those from a forest in Sherwood.
Fulk FitzWarin was a prominent representative of a marcher family associated especially with estates in Shropshire. In young life, early in the reign of King John, he won notoriety as the outlawed leader of a roving force striving to recover his familial right to Whittington Castle in Shropshire.
On hearing some of his story you could be forgiven for asking yourself the question....Was Robin Hood really from Shropshire?
