Bus sector 'trailblazer' gets plaque in Winchester
The first woman in Hampshire to drive busses has been celebrated recently at Winchester bus station.
Mary Curry passed her test in 1973, and continued driving until she was 68.
Meanwhile, in 2024 only 15% of bus drivers are women and there is a campaign to get more female drivers behind the wheel.
