Southampton murder case reopens after 35 years
Detectives have reopened a murder investigation, 35 years after the fatal shooting of a jeweller in Southampton.
Ricky Haywood, aged 36, was shot numerous times at close range in the attack.
Hampshire Police say they will be reviewing evidence following advances in forensic science and are appealing for anyone with information about the case to come forward.
In a statement, Mr Haywood's sister said she was hoping for "justice and closure".
Detective Inspector Elizabeth Brunt, from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, and Beth Simpson, the regional manager for Crimestoppers, are leading the investigation.
They brought the 大象传媒 presenter Lucy Ambache up to speed.
