TRANSLATION:

It is a status already possessed by North Devon, and now a study is happening to determine how much of the criteria is currently met in Cornwall.
According to UNESCO, the idea behind biospheres is for it to act as a "testing ground" to manage ecosystems sustainably.
Senior lecturer at the University of Exeter Dr Tiago di Melo Cartaxo said: "We need more collaboration, we need more work together and that's what a UNESCO biosphere could be about."
He said that North Devon's biosphere has been a "huge success", and now for each 拢1 invested by the public sector, "they are getting 拢20 back".
It is also easier for an area to win "national and even international funding" as a biosphere, Dr di Melo Cartaxo said.

TRANSLATION

The free parking will be available on 7, 14 and 23 December.
The initiative is designed to support Small Business Saturday, on 7 December, a national initiative.
Martin Worth, the council's portfolio holder for customers, said: "Small Business Saturday is a reminder to us all about the importance of supporting the high street and local businesses.
"And if you鈥檙e not able to make it to your local high street this Small Business Saturday, this year we鈥檙e offering two additional free parking dates before Christmas.
According to Cornwall Council motorists who park in a pay-on-exit car park need to take a ticket from the entrance barrier as usual.
When leaving the car park, insert the ticket into the machine by the exit and the barrier should open if it is on one of the free days.
That鈥檚 all from me, have a good week.
