Developed by a diverse team with over a century of combined experience with a commitment to making digital healthcare accessible and equitable for all and empowers clinicians in GP practices with tools that enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.
Noticing shortages of doctors and impact of COVID-19 on chronic patients, especially the racially diverse group, exacerbating health inequalities. In response to these challenges, Fungai developed CheckUp Health, and with the support of Innovate UK, ran a trial during COVID-19 that was a huge success, saving the Healthcare sector an estimated 拢90 per patient in GP visits.
Fungai has over 23 years of experience in entrepreneurship, digital transformation, culture, and BAME health behaviours. As an immigrant to the UK, she arrived with little English and a GCSE level of education. Despite these challenges, Fungai turned out to be a successful businesswoman, innovator, running three successful businesses in UK. Her CheckUp Health solution was awarded on the Tech Innovation Framework as one of key companies supporting Primary Healthcare Services with digital transformation in UK.
Representation matters in building next generation of tech role models, especially for females from diverse backgrounds. Fungai believes that having positive role models can change the course of one's life. She contributed to book 鈥淭he Voice in the Shadow,鈥 which showcases the journeys of 51 Black women in the UK who impacted the tech industry.
