The Closing Arguments
With the jury poised to be sent out to deliberate on a verdict, the barristers have one last chance to argue their case.
Follow the trial of Metropolitan firearms officer Martyn Blake, who has been charged with the murder of Chris Kaba. Chris died from a single gunshot after being stopped by police in Streatham, south London, on Tuesday 5 September 2022. Martyn Blake, who was previously known only as NX121, has pleaded not guilty to murder.
With the jury poised to be sent out to deliberate on the verdict, in this episode reporters Adina Campbell and Ross Ryan bring you the details of the closing arguments from both the prosecution and the defence. We鈥檒l hear about the prosecution's accusation that some of Martyn Blake鈥檚 evidence has been 鈥渇iction鈥, and the defence鈥檚 claim that there is little evidence of Martyn Blake being 鈥渁ngry and frustrated鈥.
