Liverpool's green walls
So you might have seen some walls full of plants as you've been walking around Liverpool city centre and wondered what they're for.
They're full of plants which are pollinators and stopping pollution from hanging around in the air, and now they're award-winning. The project they are part of was recently shortlisted for a world Green City Award and won three prizes, including one for innovation, at the CIRIA 2024 Big Biodiversity Awards.
Our Green Guy Ellis has been down to the green wall by Chavasse Park in Liverpool One to find out more by speaking to Mersey Forest's director Paul Nolan and Liverpool One's director of place Donna Hewitt.
