"We all have a migration story."
When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Julia Shapp supported Ukrainian families settling in the UK through the work of charity International Care Network.
She began learning how difficult the experience is of settling in a foreign country, whilst being introduced to the cultures and cuisines of the families they supported.
It was this fellowship around food which launched Julia's World Kitchen, a supper club which features a different cuisine each week, all made by women who love to cook traditional recipes and have chosen to migrate to Dorset.
Karamjeet Kaur moved from India in March 2023, and works in a Bournemouth restaurant when not cooking with Julia.
Radio Solent's Steve Harris spoke to Julia and Karamjeet, and Nichola Hunter-Warburton reports.
