A grandfather convicted of violent disorder after taking part in rioting outside a hotel used to house asylum seekers has died in prison.
Peter Lynch, 61, was serving two years and eight months after he pleaded guilty to being part of the unrest at the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham on August 4th.
This was part of the wave of violent disorder which took places in towns and cities across the UK over the summer following the incident in Southport that left three girls dead.
