Could Hereford school 'save' rugby lessons?
A non-contact version of the sport is being taught amid fears the sport is under threat, with parents worried about the dangers on the pitch of broken bones, alongside media reports of concussion and the potential long term effects on the brain.
The RFU has launched a radical plan to save rugby at school, as is underway already at Lord Scudamore Academy in Hereford, with fewer school teams playing fewer matches than at any previous time this century.
