Leicester team aim to win University Challenge
A team of University of Leicester students are hoping to bring the 大象传媒 University Challenge trophy back to the city for the first time since 1963.
George Gowland, Noah Lister, Greg Beeden and Edward Owen-Beckwith will take on a team from the London School of Economics. The Leicester crew are hoping to match the achievements of Leicester鈥檚 1963 team, which won the first-ever series when they saw off Oxford鈥檚 Balliol College.
The University of Leicester also saw another first - in 1974, Sandya Narayansami became the first Indian woman to compete on the show. Nearly five decades on, Sandya has met up with Greg Beeden, a local student in this year's team, to compare their experiences.
They spoke to 大象传媒 Leicester's Conor O'Grady.
