Colchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swindon Town.

Swindon went ahead in the second half, but Colchester were able to level through Anderson.

Despite the fightback from the Essex side, they went onto lose in extra time, eliminating them from the competition in the first round proper.
