What do the budget tax changes mean for Kent farmers?
From April 2026, inherited agricultural assets worth more than one million pounds, which were previously exempt, will have to pay inheritance tax at 20% - half the usual rate.
Although, the Chancellor has said that in some cases the threshold could in practice be about three million pounds.
