Carers Worldwide, RAF Museum, Bhupinder Sandhu, Pioneering Indian Cinema

Anil & Ruth Patil's charity, Carers Worldwide, helps carers in India, Bangladesh and Nepal looking after people with mental illness and disability. Recognising the hardship and stigma this brings, they are successfully changing government policy to empower carers (who are mostly women and girls).

The RAF Museum's new Noor Inayat Khan display honours the Sufi Princess who fought the Nazis and was posthumously awarded a George Cross in 1949. Head of Collections and Research, Dr Harry Raffal, tells us about this remarkable woman.

After facing his own struggles, plus the suicide of his neighbour, Mindfulness Coach Bhupinder Sandhu will spend Christmas walking from London to Cardiff to raise awareness of mental health issues.

December sees the final instalment of the Barbican's three month season, 'Rewriting the Rules: Pioneering Indian Cinema after the 1970s'. The programme includes India鈥檚 first queer film, 1971's ground breaking Badnam Basti. Asad is joined by Film Scholar, Writer and International Curator of South Asian Cinema, Dr Omar Ahmed.
