Hereford Christmas Lights 'controversy'
LGBTQ+ groups in the county hit out at 90s band Eternal, who helped flick the switch in High Town. Members of the group allegedly made anti-trans comments.
Last year Louise Redknapp and K茅ll茅 Bryan pulled out of a tour with their former bandmates over allegations that two members refused to play LGBTQ festivals and Pride events, because the gay community was 'being hijacked by trans people'.
Richard Hancock is one of the organisers of Hereford Queers and Beers who wrote an open letter in protest against Eternal being involved in the switch on, he tells Elliott Webb why he wanted to make a protest.
At time of publishing Hereford City Council, and Eternal's representatives, had not responded to a request for comment.
